Trying to figure this out - and making the Unit Synth Midi make random noises. I'm not even going to pretend that I know what I am doing. Or that I understand this at all. Also I don't know anything at all about MIDI, I was just hoping to use this to make random "robotic" sounds (R2D2 style)

@diyelectromusic@mastodon.social I used a M5StickC - but it's a uart(serial) device, so I would think anything that has a serial port should work. The provided library (by M5Stack) looks like a modified version of the Fluxamasynth library https://github.com/fluxly/Fluxamasynth/tree/master - or maybe a modified version of the Zetaohm SAM2695 library https://github.com/cosmikwolf/ArduinoLibraries/tree/master/Zetaohm_SAM2695 - I didn't have too many problems getting the fluxamasynth examples to work. (I think I couldn't get one to work). I'm not really a musical kind of person, so I don't really know what I'm doing - I was able to figure this much out thou. 😃
