(yeah, the linux container is kinda neat but at that point, just install a Linux Distribution. It'll run linux apps faster)

@awesumindustrys@diode.zone Chrome OS in general makes the already miserable Windows 11 look good, and it's why I'm at least relieved that Google hasn't been the one to ruin traditional computing like they've ruined video sharing, mobile computing, e-mail, and such.
- Chromebooks are much more locked down than normal desktops and laptops, often requiring "jail-breaking" or even special hardware to bypass these lockdowns and install a real operating system on them. Laptops and desktops with Windows 11 need Secure Boot disabled to get Linux installed, but after installing Linux on them, you're rolling! Some distros, such as Ubuntu and Fedora, will even work even when you re-enable Secure Boot.
- The Play Store has no real software. There are no real games (just gacha shit-ware), and there is no real creative software (just ad-infested shitware). On Windows, besides Steam (the GOAT of online marketplaces), you have other awesome options for games, like GOG and Itch, and you're free to download and use open-source software, like Blender, Krita, and Onlyoffice, that are never ever restricted.
- Google stops supporting older Chromebook models so soon. Laptops and desktops that are still perfectly fine in terms of power are suddenly obsolete just because Google is too lazy to just let them get updated.
