Steel Mill 2 - Radioactive Boogaloo

I went back with a better camera! Still forgot the ruler though. I believe what I was calling 'driveshafts' in the video are actually interchangeable rollers for the rolling mills. Steel would be fed through these to shape it. This is what the rod making process might've looked like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5a85fE1NTI Disclaimer - Don't do this unless you know what you're doing. Seriously. Think it through: Unstable floors. Unstable roofs. Blind pits. Chemicals. Wildlife. Security. And of course the radiation hazard. This particular area is not dangerous to explore for short periods of time provided you are taking sufficient precautions to avoid contaminating yourself internally or bringing contamination home with you. Do you have the knowledge and equipment to take these precautions? Ingesting even a few particles of the wrong dust can significantly increase your risk of cancer.

@uglyhack Mainly for collection's sake, it's nice to have a piece of history. I will be running some simple tests to see if this is uranium or thorium. Academics have had access to these materials for decades and have extensively characterized them so there's not much worthwhile testing I could do in my garage.
