Summer Rains - Modular Performance with Tides, Ripples, and Chance

A fun little jam with my current somewhat limited system. I'm waiting for my full-sized Plaits and my Castor and Pollux to come in, so I figured I'd challenge myself to create something without being able to use the kind of sound sources I'm used to. This performance uses only Tides as its sound source, shaped through Veils by my Peaks clones. Tides itself is modulated with Chance, producing ever-shifting combinations of chords, waveshapes, and harmonics. The sound is split into high, low, and band-pass portions, then routed to Clouds and Milky Way's stereo reverb mode. Ripples is modulated by my Voltage Block, and the sequencing is done on my old-school Varigate 4. Sorry for the poor video quality - recording on my laptop is the only way to get decent audio quality, and I'm still trying to get my hands on a decent webcam.

I like it! I'm imagining myself out on the pond on a raft made of the strings of the instruments of a string quartet, when it's raining just a little with a few heavier gusts, then letting up, and I can watch the individual drops making circles on the surface of the water. Very nice.
