This is a screencast of a very early demo running on an early version of the software that would become Siftulator, from the Sifteo SDK. This was one of the first tests for the viability of fast 2D graphics on the CPU we chose for the cubes, a Nordic nRF24LE1. Before building any hardware at all, this was the platform I used to explore whether there was any chance of doing fast graphics on a low-power 8-bit CPU. It required some serious hardware and software ingenuity, but over a year later this technique has become a complete product, ready to ship! The simulation in this video eventually evolved into Siftulator, one of the core tools for the freely available Sifteo SDK. You can download the SDK or read the docs online at: https://www.sifteo.com/developers
