Unfortunatly there is still some struggle and the copter drifts away. And entering the NAVPOSHOLD resulted in a crash. Luckily no damages, but this needs further research. Before the OSD allowed me to understand better what is going on compared to the last crashes. I noticed that I used HORIZON mode, which isn't as safe as ANGLE mode. And there seemed to be a fallback to ACRO when I switched modes.
