Portable build toolchain with a homologous UI

triplescripts.org is on a mission to eliminate implicit step 0 from software development. Shown here is a self-contained, portable toolchain. It builds the necessary object files from source, links the system core, and then generates a disk image to be used in an emulator. The project being built is the Oberon system. Despite the use of NodeJS shown here, which appears in the second half of the video and is optional, no special installation, configuration, or other sort of setup occurred beforehand besides downloading a copy of the project source tree—the entire toolchain targets the browser as a first-class universal application runtime. The build is performed fully offline (just as with any traditional build toolchain); the build script never hits the network for e.g. offloading work to some cloud service. An archive containing the files used in this demo is available upon request.
