I created a pull request, but it may never be approved, so here is a link to the modified library
https://github.com/kd8bxp/M5Unit-Synth/tree/serial

I also added Fur Elise for the M5StickC and the M5NanoC6.
Hopefully someone finds it helpful.

PS. I have no idea why M5 requires the M5Unified, and M5GFX libraries, they aren't being used for this library at all.
Which means, (I am not sure)- This really should work with any esp32 micro-controller, and I've tried it with a few different ones.

As of this demo I'm running linux Mint 21.2 Cinnamon edition.
If there is interest, I can post the code (Which I will probably do even if there isn't interest). And a short tutorial, I made this pretty specific for my needs, but I'm sure it can be adapted for others as well.

My sketch is based off part of the M5Stack Code for the card computer, and part of the example code found here
https://github.com/idreamsi/LoRaE5 which is a handy library for the device.
Seeed Studio also has a P2P demo https://wiki.seeedstudio.com/Grove_Wio_E5_P2P/ but I found it a little confusing as to what was going on.
One thing I do notice about these devices is, they seem to need to be reset quite often. I'm not sure why that is.
There is also a couple of improvements I'd like (maybe a ping-pong kind of thing, and a timer if a ping isn't received within a certain time, a reset is done(?)) - Also some way to tell what has been sent and what has been received (maybe different color text, or a hash mark or something)
