It’s interesting that the accompanying voice is sung for a bit. And that he can switch shirts like Jeff.

I have no idea why but dragging the first 30 fps clip into Resolve always sets the project fps to 25. I didn’t realise it was at 25 until I wanted to render it. The project framerate can’t be changed unless it’s empty, so I created a new project file and copied and pasted everything in there, but that also turned the other project into 25 fps. I had to place one of the earlier Katt recordings in the new project first to make sure the framerate stays at 30. Then I could finally paste everything and adjust the transition lengths to the new fps.

Another day used almost entirely for ACNH singing fideos. And I still have 1, 2 Pokémon icons, remaking my 2-way backup with a better programme and trying Ubuntu for the third time on my to-do list that I want to get done before I work on fideos and the website. Will I ever get to the end of the list that keeps getting longer? And will I ever make my website?

Why do my villagers only ever sing at night when it’s not as nice to look at? Maybe they don’t like being watched.

This took 12 hours to make. Hopefully, it will have been worth the weight. I think, this successfully earned me the gahp diploma, making me an internationally approved gahp filler. Then have I what own. The gahp at 2.22 is particularly well filled, consisting of Lyman and Eunice singing the same part again later when Roald and Julia are gone. Therefore, Roald and Julia also had to be edited in, Roald’s head using chroma key as the head overlaps with Eunice. It’s completely perfect except for the shadows of Julia’s broom and Eunice’s face. And Lyman opens his eyes, but that looks natural. And the sky and leaves of course.

This time, there was a 3-second gahp between the clips and the missing part was not repeated, so there was nothing I could use to fill it. Therefore, the m*rderer must still be in this room and I put the first clip at the end instead. That way, the visuals are just about gahpless. The audio still had 2 of Amarizo’s footsteps audible from when he moved out of view, but that part was repeated and I could insert audio from there, making it perfect, except for the slightly louder wind.

Katt was one of my beginning villagers in ACNH and she quickly became one of my favourites.

Something I recorded myself for once, in 1080p with a high bitrate and in one continuous file thanks to my capture card. I left the break at 1:27 in because it looks like she’s exhausted and needs to take a short breather before the extreme yodelling part.

I wonder what made Fang so upset. And I guess Rosie likes listening to her neighbours singing Bubblegum just as much as singing it herself.

This one was edited surprisingly quickly. The first gahp even overlapped by one frame, the last one was already perfectly closed and two other ones were just one frame long, so I copied the previous frame into it as all the other characters made anything else impractical. The middle gahp was half a second long unfortunately and the best thing I could do was copy a piece from a similar bit right before. The unimportant extras fit mostly but Lyman’s mouth movements are not exactly the same.

Night means no cloud shadows :wigglyomg: Don’t take a close look at the thumbnail’s background.

How many gahps are there? Some were short and easy, some were long and very difficult. Some are filled perfectly, some to the best of my abilities but not very well. If only there weren’t so many factors: The sky, cloud shadows behind Fang, one of three eye emotions, Rosie, cloud shadows behind Rosie, three different positions of her head and slow transitions between them and of course unimportant extras walking through the scene. This song will probably haunt my dreams now.

Filling the gaps could not be done very nicely this time as there were no similar instances from where I could have taken the background and especially since the background overlaps with Rosie in the first gap. I thought it was terrible, but apparently Amarizo didn’t notice the gaps this time either. He should have put his glasses on.

It might not look like it but editing this took quite some time. I put a high quality rip of the original song into the editing programme to align the footage to it and the low quality ingame song was not audible anymore, the high quality version and the singing voice however were. That eventually gave me the idea to just leave it like this as it sounds much better.

Amarizo recorded this with the Switch’s recording feature, meaning it consists of multiple 30-second clips. Unfortunately, the Switch seems not to record a couple of frames between subsequent recordings as there’s still the same average amount of missing frames in a different character’s recording where Amarizo pressed record more frequently. I filled the gaps with multiple parts: Filbert doing the same movements with the same background from a different part of the song and either a similar cloud shadow or, when there was no similar one, the shadow’s frames around the gap repeating. The gahps in one’s ’oops are at 0:29 and 0:59 and especially the second one with a similar cloud is closed pretty well, at least if you don’t pay close attention to the cloud shadow and leaves. And, as Amarizo said, why would you when there’s a singing blue squirrel to look at?
